Restaurant Review

Catfish Corner | Corner of MLK & Cherry | www.mocatfish.com | Dine In or Take Out

I’ve missed really good catfish and was spoiled by a catfish restaurant I discovered in college in Marietta Oklahoma – McGehee’s.  It’s hard to beat what has been the best catfish dinner I’ve ever had until recently!  Catfish Corner is the restaurant I’ve been driving by for years always wondering – how good is the fish.  Well, it was amazing.  Two pounds of catfish fillets, hushpuppies and a side of cole slaw made the entire family loving one of our now favorite dining spots.  Their menu has lots of southern favorites that we are looking forward to trying on our next visit. The staff was  friendly and the service was quick!

Live. Explore. Seattle Arboretum

Welcome to Seattle Arboretum Homes.  Search for Arboretum homes for sale, open houses, rentals, restaurants and more. The Arboretum is not only one of the best neighborhoods in Seattle; it is also one of Seattle’s best kept secrets.  Its unique setting and close proximity to downtown, trendy Capitol Hill and swanky Madison Park make this enclave ideal for buyers looking for a relaxed atmosphere inside an urban core.  The steep hills that characterize the area give way to expansive views of the Arboretum Park, Madison Valley, and if high enough, Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains.

The Arboretum Neighborhood was a favorite spot for developers in the late 1980s and early 1990s with many of the smaller bungalow homes being replaced with expansive modern residences.  Because this neighborhood has very little turnover, it managed to avoid much of the short sale, foreclosure, bank owned debacle that is more common in other areas of Seattle.  However, great values still exist for both buyers and renters and being located in the McGilvra Elementary School boundaries make this neighborhoods in Seattle highly sought after.
